Tattoo guy is Chris from a local ‘parlour’ - I’m sure there is a better name in the ‘ink’ vernacular….but I don’t know it.
Below is Leemo, one of my second year degree students - He likes dressing up and make-up and having his picture taken. Though who wouldn’t if they were Noel Fielding lookey-likey!!!???
Top image is made with Canon 1ds and 45mm T/S and bottom with Hasselblad CFV on a ‘blad 500CM with 80mm Zeiss - Any questions???

Both look very good A.
But the Chris portrait is just fantastic. Great DOF and contrast.
Wow so that is what $50,000 dollars can get you lol.
Hey my name is lauren and I’m a current year 12 vce student in Australia. I first noticed your work on deviant art and I loved it. The images you create are pretty intense as well as distinctly unique.
Any tips for an aspiring young photographer? And also…
Do you use any other camera’s other then a hasselblad?
thankyou
Hi, love your images. I am currently in my 3rd year of a Foundation Degree in professional Photography. Can you tell me how you managed to get the models skin looking so good. Its looks almost dirty or greasy,
I have seen this look before and would love to have a go myself, so any tips would be really appreciated. Thanks Gill
I do like the top one. I’ve never tried one of the t/s lenses but this gives me another nudge towards having a go. Seems a better investment than a lensbaby …..
Nice site.

I love your tattoo images, Andrew.
“Studio” is a bit nicer than “parlour”, I think.
I found that the fact that the lenses focus in the first photo follows the focus of the light to be both confusing and intriguing at the same time. I wonder if it was edited this way after the shot was taken to blur out the bottom/darker half of the photo, or if this was all the master skills of your photography work? As much as I would have loved to see focused details of his wicked tattoo, I love that I, as a viewer and an aspiring photographer, enjoy the angle of this photo being almost forced on the viewer, and if it hadn’t been for that forced focus I might have paid much less interest to the small details on his neck, skin, and even the star tat.
As for the bottom photo; by all means he is a rock-star looker. The lighting on this is perfect, and this would definitely be a star headshot portrait. Fantastic capture of light on his eyes by the way, which happen to be quite expressive. It works perfectly with the muted coloured-Black & white-ish colours; adding to the mysterious mood.
